Topic Sentences
A topic sentence states the main idea of a paragraph. It's often placed at the beginning of a paragraph but it doesn't have to be.

Math Equations
6x=24 <------------ EQUATION
So now you have divide both numbers by 6
now after you do that you get the x by itself so it would be

Solving Equations by Addition
Solving Equations by Addition
N + 7 = 15
N + 7 + (-7)= 15 + (-7)
N = 8
Social Development
There are many things that are socially acceptable. Cooperation is a good one, you have to be open to other people's ideas. Being curteous and kind is also another great one. Say when your done your game you shake hands and you don't be a poor sport. When one of your teamate's makes a mistake don't put them down. Forget about it and move on.
Using Equations To Solve Problems
When it its increased by 5, the result is 11
n+5=11
n+5+ (-5) =11+(-5)
n=6
n+5=11
n+5+ (-5) =11+(-5)
n=6

Novel
Our class has been reading "Underground to Canada" by Barbara Smucker. So far in the novel we have learned that Juilily a 12 year old girl was a slave at a plantation in the state of Virginia. The plantation owner was very ill, so the slaves were going to be sold. On the way to southern united states, Juilily and other young children are put inside of a cart. There are three men. These men are walking with chains on their feet. The chains are attached to the back of the cart. The men are tied up with chains so they can not run away. The chains rub on their bare legs,they start to bleed.

Solving Equations by Addition
x-3=5 What you add to one side you have to add to the other side.
x-3+3=5+3
x=8
x-3+3=5+3
x=8
Solving Equations
Adition:
x + 3 = 6
x + 3 + (-3) = 6 + (-3)
x = 3
Subtration:
x - 3 = 3
x - 3 + 3 = 3 + 3
x = 6
Division:
3x = 6
3x/3 = 6/3
x = 2
Multiplication:
y/3 = 2
3 x y/3 = 2 x 3
y = 6
x + 3 = 6
x + 3 + (-3) = 6 + (-3)
x = 3
Subtration:
x - 3 = 3
x - 3 + 3 = 3 + 3
x = 6
Division:
3x = 6
3x/3 = 6/3
x = 2
Multiplication:
y/3 = 2
3 x y/3 = 2 x 3
y = 6

Math
In math we are learning how to solve equations by addition. Here is an example:
x+3= 5.8
x+3+ [ -3]= 5.8+ [ -3]
x=4
x+3= 5.8
x+3+ [ -3]= 5.8+ [ -3]
x=4

Variables and Equations
In math we are learning about variables and equations.
We have to solve equations with addition, division and multiplication.
An example of this would be
x-3=5
x-3+3=5+3
x=8 The reason I had to add 3 to both sides is when you do something to one side you have to do it to the other. I had to add the +3 to the -3 so it would equal 0.
